Blah Blah Blah! And an awesome new product by Jenn Patrick!

Ok…so I’ll give you the awesome new product first…just in case you really don’t want to hear about my blah blah blah! Well, I had a favorite by Jenn that I’d already added to my wish list (which by the way is growing by leaps and bounds!) That first favorite were her Backwards staples…here are those!! Well she has gone and outdone herself! I LOVE color and of course grunge …and that is what she delivered!! Really Bad Paint job ones!! SEEEE

Ok…now to the blah blah blah…I’m headed for WV this weekend but you already knew that so needless to say (and yes I know this is rare!) I didn’t have much to blab about! MEEE how could that happen??? Not sure but it did…sooo…I’m going to take advantage of my little topic starter in the Hot Off the Press challenge Get over there and check us out!!
So my helpful nudge today was a fav. holiday moment (duh..Memorial day is this weekend!:) ), fav. holiday, or maybe just what a holiday means to ya…so…I’m gonna run with it…

I can remember a time when I was the little kid that just didn’t understand why no one was excited about all those presents under the Christmas tree. I would spend months trying to track down the hidden gifts, all to bed to open them early (seeing as how I never found any!) I usually won…and as a matter of fact that started the opening on Christmas Eve tradition in our Family. Well…time goes by…little girls grow up and all of a sudden I get it! Talk about an moment! The gifts have become what all the decorating was to me then…Pointless…yes…you heard me right…pointless…I have more than I need…hello we have a basement full of extra “stuff”!! So can you believe it..yes grandma you will love this…The decorating and the family time is what I focus on now…And yes that even means ! Yes I know you’ve been there…Lights everywhere…ornaments galore! Instead of the gifts under the tree being important…it is the tree itself…and not not just because of the pretty ornaments but because that tree holds our memories! Every ornament has a story, every light has been touched by countless loving family hands…and yes believe it or not we save ours! And that smell (you know…the REAL tree) is just the beginning of the treats your senses with be bombarded with over the holiday. Ohhh..and who can forget the actual hours spent in the kitchen concocting those scrumptious delights! (yes..I try and help in the kitchen…notice I said HELP!) My holiday has become a memory filled gallery that I get a private pass to every year! So the years of forgotten presents and thier givers are gone…and the years of my trip down memory lane are here…to reminisce on and to create!

Wow…bet ya didn’t think I had it in this Quirky little self to get all mushy and sentimenal!! But I am sure you know me well enough to know once I get started…I can gab gab gab! And yes now that you’ve read all that…your wondering what on earth trigger Christmas in the Summer!!! Actually…That would be the smilie!! I was looking for one with lights for an email and came across the Christmas lights one!! so poof…there was my subject…see…sometimes it just clicks…I doubt I’ll get around to blogging this weekend…I get to pack and do homework so I’ll see ya Monday evening sometime!
