Sometimes you just have to have it your way!

Ok…so since classes are out I wanted to try and catch up on my CT fun!! Yes I think of it as fun not WORK!!! These Fabulous desingers give you Awesome products to work with and it is my pleasure to not only use them but by golly show them off and get you other amazing scrappers to go grab them and play!! I provide the inspiration that makes you WANT WANT WANT THEM!!! :) Soo…Laura White had a new kit Corgen up at My Digital Muse and I Just loved it! So I had to play…Well don’t you just hate it when you get an idea in your head and once it is there it just isn’t right till it is well, Right! I played with the kit and one of the awesome papers has this tooo cool torn and curled edge to it! Well I wanted to tuck something under it and well, it is a flat file not layers…soooo…thanks to the awesome tip from Scrap Girls I was able to realize my vision…and darned if it wasn’t just a way simple thing to do! I had tried every other way more difficult thing to no avail!! Just goes to show the old saying of “two heads are better than one” is soooo true…sooo…enough jabbering…here is that inspiration and even a little mini tutorial to tell you how I accomplished my desire!

Now for the enabling!! You know you wanna grab all this way awesome products!!! ohhh…one of them was a freebie from Christina Renee on NSD in May but I’ll link you up to her post in case it is still available, and while you are there add her to your blog roll…she ROCKS TOO!!

And for that mini tutorial :) See I didn’t forget!

To get the picture beneath the torn and rolled edge since this was a flat and not layered piece I took my rectangular marquee tool and drew a rectangle around the portion that would overlap the picture and elements. Make a copy of that section and then put a mask on it. I then used a hard brush to erase the majority of what I didn’t want to see and then used a soft brush at an opacity and flow of like 20 to slowly paint away the rest…blending it into the paper so that the shadow was just the slightest bit transparent.

Well off to shop!!! Get to clickin!! Enjoy!

2!! I finished 2!!!

Ok…so I did the majority of the work on both yesterday but I had to get pictures and tweak them today :):) ohhhh I’m soooo tickled I can scrap!!! :) I’ve missed it!!

The first one is one I did for my CT with Banner Woman!! This kit rocks girlie!!!

Remember links and previews of the products I used are below my work!! :)

(The Genuine Kit won’t be available till July I think, but I’ll update the link then!)

This next one was originally created for one of Christina Renee’s Challenges…TheCRAZY list one! Well I worked hard on it and I can’t stand to spend time on something I’m not going to print…soooo I tweeked it a bit…took out some stuff and poof…here it is!!

And Hals for your benifit…the writing around all of it..that would be the lyrics to Twist and Shout!! Just sooooo fitting!!! And on this one..two of the kits I used aren’t available..most of the buttons, and the sunflower are part of Stacey Jewell Stahl’s Tapestry Page Kit that isn’t available anymore! Shame cause it rocks!!! And the background paper was from Jennilyn designs Grunge Boi again a shame it isn’t available anywhere!!!

Well I think that is enough enabling and way more layouts than I thought I’d get done!!! I’m a slow scrapper so I’m very pleased with myself!!!

My indulgence last night!! and a Toot!!

Ok…so I’m way way tired of this class so do you think I tackled homework last night? ummmmm….NOPE!! ***WARNING for the saintly student to read any further would be a MISTAKE****

The closest I got to homework was to figure out what grade I would have if I just forgo this paper altogether!! Sad huh! Well I can still get a B+ even without it! So yep..I’m going to be the horrible student and not do it! That decision made I wanted to play! So I scrapped!! I had gotten this amazing kit Genuine from BannerWoman (I’m a CT girl so I really need to get in gear and use it!) Then of course I’m a doodle freak so I incorporated some of LaLa’s swirls, and to top it all off…I thought duh…how about do another Wardrobe Makeover for the challenge at The Digi Shoppe! Put all three together and this is what you get! Ok…gotta start at the beginning!
