Ok..so my little oreo layout was technically about me…but the only me in the picture..yep…a hand!! I’ve never been the most photogenic one in the group and normally don’t like pictures…but now that I have this fancy dancy camera…I’m actually finding I’m upset that I’m always behind the camera and not in any of those wonderful memories I’m catching…sooo…I grabbed said camera and headed down stairs to the guest room..why the guest room you ask…that has the biggest mirror! 
I am shy…so no I wasn’t about to try and pose for shots and figured if I didn’t like it…the mirror was the only one there! so I could be as dorky as I wanted…well…I actually managed to get some good shots..so I scrapped a me layout..the inspiration came from the Hodge Podge Art Challenge #3…so where is it?? Here ya go but be gentle…I’m telling you I’m shy…

I sooo hope I’m not dreaming! I spent the weekend organizing..not the house…pictures! over 6000 of them! What started this madness…other than the fact that it just needed done you ask…Some time ago I bought a program called Digital ScrapRoom to organize my digi scrap supplies…with 20 gig worth I was forgetting what I had sooo I got the program and swore I’d get organized…well that was about 7 months or more ago and no the scrap supplies aren’t organized…I still don’t know what I have…not that it mattered I only catch 15 min. snipits worth of time where I can scrap and I’ve wasted every bit of that free time searching for the pictures I wanted to use that I just KNEW was out there on the hard drive somewhere…well…I paid for the fact that I was in a hurry just about every time I dumped pictures from my camera onto the drive…I never renamed them so I could find them and do you think I put them in one folder…NOPE!!! Well…the scrapbook software I’d bought sent me an e-mail announcing the merge with a program called ACDsee…so…I’m desperate…I need to see if this would work…I HAVE to get some kind of organization and NOW…no more pictures till I get it under control…so I grab the trial and found the best site Digi Scrap Info!!!! The two awesom ladies there are just about the most helpful I’ve come across in a while! So I tackled it this weekend…long story short, or not I know, about 40 categories later and several hours…they are not only tagged right and cross referenced if needed…they are cropped, renamed, and yes I actually got rid of a TON!!!!! I can hardly believe I’m done with them…I really thought it would take sooo much longer, so needless to say I now have hope that the scrap stuff might get done :) I don’t start another class till the 2nd so I’m going to try and get the scrap stuff done this week…and heck even try and do a couple of Layouts :) DEFINITLY check out the program ACDsee, in this digital age…organization is a much and this makes it a breeze (for those of us a day late dollar short )

Ok…so I FINALLY finished a layout…of course I don’t really think this one counts…I had done it all but the picture…so it was almost like a plopper! Hope you enjoy! And yes I know the picture is a bit too dark but it was the best I could do with the lighting I had!
