Ok…so I have a school project where I have to present my version of a modern day barbie and GI Joe figure compaired to the figures found in the 1960s! So DUH…Poser would be great for this right? Well ok…yes the program would be great but for someone that has only played (and marginally at that) with it for two days it probably wasn’t the smartest move to tackle doing this project with it seeing as how it was due last night..But me being me..I tackled it..My thoughts…V3 from Daz3d and the 2035 Girl outfit from Aery Soul would be AWESOME for barbie..Skimpy mini skirt, futuristic, modern looking..so…I open the program and import the figure…thinking this shouldn’t be that hard..I’m not going to change much of anything…so click away I go but…YES, BUT STOP!!! There are holes in the clothes, even with a basic pose and good lordy…that pose just doen’t work! Then I can’t find a file…And once I find the file…and figure out how to fix the holes…it is easy 1am…So I render it and poof there is a mistake and not a little one…one of her eyes is rolled up in her head…so after waiting FOREVER for the first render I go back and try to move the eye…to only distort the foot and ankle to a really ugly warped configuration…who knew moving an eye would move the foot…but then again..I am new so I’m almost sure it was me using the wrong tools! At 3 a.m. I still don’t have my “barbie” and I haven’t even tried to tackle my GI Joe…They are gonna be late…but the good news…I think I can get “Barbie” done tonight not problems…like 15 min..now GI Joe will be a whole other story I’m sure… Can we say now I understand why there are pages and pages of posts in the poser forum on Renderosity! I WILL GET THIS PROGRAM!!! Darn it if I can teach myself what I know in Photoshop then I can do this!!! Time…I just need time…(something in short supply around here:) ) Speaking of which…gotta run…work to do…the saga will continue!
