The middle of week blues and some uplifting Quotes!

Ok..so it is Wednesday…Not Monday, so I don’t have a full week ahead of me, but not Friday meaning the blessed weekend has come! Instead it is Wednesday and I’m behind! I HAVE to finish my drawing assignment tonight! HAVE TO!! Then add to the fact that my other class Art History of Early Civilization starts and yep…that is the class that that HUGE book belongs to! Mean of course I have a ton of reading to do! Add to that my crazy scenario at work! Yep we are on lock down….there is someone threatening certain members of our office so we now have security and locked doors. fun fun huh! Tack on, yes there is more, I need to go to the dance school and get Monkey’s costume, get gas, throw in some time to go get a NC license, get to a dentist, and somewhere in there I am still trying to get some scrapping done!! Needless to say I’m thinking today is not going to be the day for scrapping…oh yeah…almost forgot…WE ARE MOVING NEXT FRIDAY!!! So I get to pack!!!! And of course have to be at the signing! :( Darn it…just got that news today! Ok….taking some big breaths! I can do it! I can do it! With that said I think it is fitting to end my rant with a positive note! Here are some awesome quotes that have to do with determination and encouragement! And trust me I do know that all this is pitiful compared to the rest of the world and its woes!

Inspiration in all forms! :)

Ok…so here I am covering the front desk flipping through a magazine that was up there…Southern Living to be exact…Well since I’m in Graphic design school now I’ve been paying attention to the ads not just articles like I used to :)  fitting huh…well one got me today…I WILL incorporate this into my next scrap page..it is just so fitting for the scrapping world…oh wait…they let it happen :) well to an extent…not all Layouts get printed :)  Ok…enough of the vague pointless info…I know…you wanna know the ad that got me to actually write something in this blog :)

HP Ad in Southern Living April 2007 issue.

“Don’t let your babies grow up to be JPEGS”

NOW HOW GREAT IS THAT!  I loved it..and after spending my evening last night trying to organize my millions of jpegs I totally get it :)  I’m one of those people that tends to think ads are either stupid, pointless, or just plain dumb (as in having nothing to do with the product…I know you’ve seen them..HELLO…Confusion doesn’t help sell stuff…or does it :))  See…I’m rambling…sorry…it is a great ad and as the title notes…inspiration for my scrapping comes in all forms!

random… yes that is me…

Ok so for those of you that know me, randomness is not a new concept when dealing with me.  I’ll be nice for those of you that don’t know me…a bit of background before the random thought…I like my hubby have WAY too much music stored on my computer at home.  I think last count was 20 gig…yes I know there are people out there with more…for that matter my hubby has more but for me it is a ton!  But alas it is at home.  And I spend hours droning on at work daily listening to what? I’m a cubicle resident so conversations from my many neighbors, clicking of keys, file drawers opening and closing and even the occasional curse.  Not exactly what I would rate as “pleasing”.  Soo…my mother has this ipod nano thing that she just keeps praising (mind you the ipod was actually a gift to Todd (my stepfather) from mom but he wasn’t using it),  so…I start looking….Not like I have the money to buy one but I look..right…it will end there…well not really…so Todd mentions this shuffle thing.  Same basic premise plays mp3s and such but is WAY WAY TINY!  Talk about portable!  So for kicks on our Wal-Mart trip I think hey its wally world they might have it, and sure enough yep they have it.  So do you think I leave noting the price…nope…I now have this little neon green shuffle attached at my hip (and yes Robbie I know I bitch about you and that stupid phone) But here I am…all I can say is it is much much more “pleasant” to listen to my plethora of music than the humdrum of the office!

Now for the random…

I have a very eclectic mix of music on this little thing, anything from Sinatra to Stevie Nicks, to Nickleback and Staind.  At the moment I’m listening to Reba McEntire….but anyway…I was listening to a Stevie Nicks song (nope had no idea what the title was, at least till I searched based off the lyrics :) )  And this line hit me!  And sooooo true, at least in my life…

“But you cannot know a dream till you’ve known the nightmare”

For those wondering the song is “The Nightmare”….See told you I was going to be random today…but that is one quote I will DEFINITLY use in my scrapping…till later…
